Hi name is Shelley and have been a qualified Counsellor for over 15 years. I am a registered member of the BACP and am currently applying for accreditation.
For the last 17 years I have worked in Children and Young People Mental Health (CYPMHS), working with children individually or with their families. I am a qualified Systemic Family Practitioner and have a Degree in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. I have completed various training which allows me to work with a number of Mental Health issues (Anxiety, Trauma, Depression, Low Mood, self-harm, Trauma and Low Self Esteem) as well as other conditions. I am qualified to work with adults, children and families. I have a small private practice and offer a safe, confidential service. I do have an interest in working with adults who have or are having treatment for cancer and their children.
I am an integrative counsellor, which means I can use my knowledge and skills from the different theoretical approaches, and I offer Face to Face appointments. I am fully insured and have regular supervision with a qualified Supervisor.
I am also a qualified Yoga Teacher and Meditation Practitioner, so my sessions can sometimes include Breathwork and Movement, (only if my client feels comfortable). I am also trained in Theraplay (Intermediate), so when working with children or families, there may be some games involved! No Therapy two therapy sessions look the same.
My Fees are £50 -£75 per 50-minute session
