Jenny Randall MBABCP

Starting therapy can feel like a significant step. I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can explore your difficulties, make sense of what’s happening, and move forward with confidence.
I am an award-winning, BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and EMDR Psychotherapist based in Wirral, with over 15 years’ experience supporting people with anxiety, depression, low mood, OCD, PTSD and complex PTSD, phobias, panic disorder, burnout, low self-esteem, and body image concerns. My clinical toolkit is broad and flexible, drawing on CBT, EMDR, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Behavioural Activation, Cognitive Therapy, DBT-informed skills, and trauma-focused approaches. Everything I do is tailored to what will work best for you.
I believe therapy works best when evidence-based approaches are used to develop flexible, bespoke treatment plans tailored not just to the presenting difficulty, but to the whole person. Good therapy isn’t about making people fit the model; it’s about making the model work for the person.
Alongside this broad clinical work, I have specialist expertise in supporting autistic and ADHD clients, with over 20 years of experience as a clinician, trainer, and advocate working to make mental health services more inclusive, flexible, and affirming. As part of a neurodivergent family, I bring both professional expertise and genuine lived understanding to this work.
I have been at the forefront of developing neuroaffirming practice, creating innovative approaches, training professionals, and championing inclusive care. This work has been recognised through national and local awards for excellence.
I offer compassionate, affirming support for neurodivergent clients navigating masking, rejection sensitivity dysphoria (RSD), overwhelm, burnout, and pre- or post-diagnostic adjustment. For clients who are not neurodivergent, my specialist background simply means you are working with a therapist who has spent years thinking deeply about how therapy can be made more accessible, flexible, and effective for everyone.
Many people arrive in therapy feeling exhausted, disconnected from things they once enjoyed, and wondering why rest never seems to be enough. Others find themselves trapped in cycles of anxiety, self-criticism, or difficult thoughts. Whatever has brought you here, I will work alongside you to understand what’s happening beneath the surface, uncover your strengths, and build practical tools for meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
Alongside my clinical work, I supervise and mentor therapists, drawing on extensive experience as a clinical supervisor within NHS services. I also lecture on CBT and neuroaffirming practice at the University of Chester, and provide training and consultancy to organisations seeking to embed inclusive, evidence-based approaches.
You do not have to stay stuck. I would be glad to help you take that next step.
If you are looking for a CBT therapist in Wirral, EMDR therapy in Wirral, or online therapy across the UK, I would be pleased to hear from you.
